Summer is its glory time. This painting is part of a series of Rideau Sunsets by Elgin-based artist Peggy White.  This is another in Peggy's series. These are a new addition to the art collection at Tipped. Does the artwork sell? Ask the folks who contemplated one painting, walked into the boutique to look at the rest of the collection, and returned to find the one they had preferred was sold. Like anything here, you should be ready to make up your mind, or the decision will be made for you!  Sheila Dean of New Leaf Farms was in this week to restock the wool rack. The colours are beautifully vibrant - perfect for your next project.  She also brought these colourful felted wool dryer balls. Not only are they fun colours, but they are slightly larger than the others. You have choices!  Deborah Lyall was in too! She added more pins and tote bags to the collection here and brought her new tea towels. You'll recognize the artwork from the designs on her bags. Sheep aplenty!  The two rugs by LavenderBlueKoala that I shared with you in a recent newsletter both sold quickly, so we have three more! And a couple of new sun hats too. Don't wait too long…  Our ATM is confirmed for installation on Monday, August 10th. The other good news is that the withdrawal transaction fee will only be $3.50. It will be here on a three-month trial until we can prove how much it's needed. So please “need” it!  Take advantage of this - local lamb and local pork in the Tipped freezer! Great prices too. So local and so good. We had Lamb loin chops for dinner on the long weekend. They were sweet, mild, and tender. I served them with Lemon Ginger Marmalade by Michael's Dolce available here at Tipped, which was a perfect pairing. My mouth is watering for more as I type this.  The best prices of the summer!

 Local author Kristen den Hartog returns to the Tipped Ship to talk about her books. Her author talks are as entertaining as her books! With more than thirty years as a published author, she's written short stories, novels, and creative non-fiction. Her newest miniature book project has a local setting: the stories explore connections between humans and animals and are inspired by her move to an old house outside Lyndhurst.
