Book entitled This World, An Anthology of Prose and Poetry

Never mind summer, I've buried my nose in a book lately, waiting waiting for the warmer weather.

This year's edition of the anthology of prose and poetry by the Ottawa Independent Writers arrived recently. It's a great pick for summer reading - short stories and poetry written by a wide variety of writers. Perhaps you know someone who contributes to it.

Are you the pizza chef in your family, or do you know someone who loves to serve pizza? These gorgeous pizza wheels were made by Butternut Ridge Studio at Wolfe Lake. So local!

One turned handle is Cherry, the other is Roasted Ash. These buttery smooth wooden handles unscrew from the wheel, protecting them from soaking in dish water and allowing the wheel to be washed in the sink or the dishwasher. They'll become a family heirloom, present at many happy gatherings over the years!

Light and breezy, summer in a scarf. Perfect for adding to your outfit or gift-giving. They are from our new collection. We have many, many others in the vintage room. A papaya and an avocado on a scarf? Fun!

In the vintage room, this cute sundress! Again, one of the many!

Back in the front rooms, we have a growing collection of shorts. Bring on the shorts, and the weather for wearing them!

We're using these cool rainy days to stock up for your summertime needs. We've got you covered for casual or work days. If you haven't been into the boutique in a while, you'll be pleasantly surprised by all the new clothing!

Days like these, at work in the air conditioning, and summer evenings call for a sweater to wear or keep handy. Cotton, linen, lightweight or cozier, check them out!

Friday flowers are back! Bunches of fresh, locally grown flowers from Forgotten Orchard Farm. This week, tulips with hellebores and greenery arrive Friday morning. Spring celebration!

Before I sign off, I'll share this with you. Overheard in Tipped recently - “They low-key have some great snacks in here, bro”. We couldn't agree more!
