We can feel the power of that sun working away at melting the snow and the ice in the eaves. I don't remember ever having so much ice in the eaves. It's a risky thing…but it's also way up there out of reach. So please, sun, make your magic happen. 

I also haven't ever seen birds quite this colour of green but that doesn't stop them from being super cute. They remind me of the new green of spring. 

Soon our arms won't be buried in sweaters and jackets. There will be lots of room for fun bracelets like this one with the wooden clasp. It's surprisingly comfortable to wear. Soon? It's coming! 

This custom pottery serving dish by Lucy Willenson is one-of-a-kind and so pretty. Can you see the feeling of spring in there? Am I imagining it? 

Forget spring - this might be full-on summer. But there is spring green in there. Locally made, they look like little dresses, the two sides attach with velcro in the middle and they hang onto your oven door handle without letting the towel fall to the floor. All this while looking fine and fancy. What's not to love? Oh, they make great gifts too! 

Last Light Laughter. Doesn't that remind you of the longer days when we can linger outdoors in the evening with a candle buring nearby? It's not just me, right? Oh, I have it bad, that hankering for warmer days. 

This is a sneak peek at one of the pretty dresses from Picadilly that we're getting ready for the boutique. There is definitely some spring green in there, along with the shades of blue and the feeling of flowers. Plus cap sleeves. We have A LOT of spring clothing on the way to the boutique over the next few weeks. Time to start checking in to see what's new.

Heads up! I presented Rob Lutes at Elgin United in November 2024. I know some of you were there and enjoyed his music. He's back in this area and playing at The Cove in Westport this evening, Thursday evening. 

Rideau Lakes Stitch Social is this Sunday, March 8th, 1 - 4 pm at the Newboro Community Hall. Bring along spare yarn, fibre, craft supplies or accessories for their freebie table. It's a free group for stitchers of all kinds, led by Fiona Stevenson and hosted by the Newboro CEC.
