I can buy myself flowers. In fact, I did just that this morning. Then I placed them on the table in the middle of the new space at Tipped - SPIN. I'm tired, excited, happy and eager to share this news. The vintage and consignment clothing now has its own room! We call it SPIN. It's all repurpose, reuse and what goes around, comes around. Is it full? Give me a moment or two and it will be bursting at the seams just like the front rooms which now exclusively feature the brand new clothing.   Brand new you say? How about fun Hawaiian shirts designed for men? Yes, you're right if you think they're designed by Orientique, our favourite Australian brand. Nothing says summer fun quite like a Hawaiian shirt. They're not in the boutique or in SPIN. They're right in the main room at Tipped. So loud you can't miss them! Let's go summer!  A watermelon sun hat, baskets, a cat bed and a dog bed! Clearly I fell in love with the cheery watermelon fabric - aching for summery weather will do that. These are the new additions by LavenderBlueKoala Designs. Soft, washable, and very packable.  Perhaps your spring or summer includes time to handcraft. Sheila Dean of New Leaf Farms stopped by to stock up the wool rack. There are a couple of new breeds of wool here - soft single-ply Scotland-Finn in lucious mauve and blue and a natural Shetland yarn. New Leaf Farm is a fibre farm where many of the sheep needed extra care at the start of their life, bottle babies who will forever follow Sheila about the farm. taking SPIN for a first spin,

They're releasing their second album, with the first two singles out now. Their new songs have been on the CBC Music Top 20 list.  The 4th Annual Tipped Ship Spring Fashion Show! Along with the fun and laughter, the fashions, the fabulous models, the snacks and sips, the ticket proceeds go to support St. Luke's Thrift Shop Lunch-To-Go Program here in Elgin. All the goodness! When St. Luke's Thrift Shop is open, they offer a bag lunch. It's right beside the Elgin Fresh Mart (aka Gordanier Fresh Mart). Lunch consists of a sandwich, cut vegetables, a piece of fruit, and a drink box for anyone in need of lunch. Donations towards lunch are always kindly appreciated. Tickets are limited to 30 - now 18! Don't be disappointed - get your tickets! Either stop by Tipped or purchase your tickets online.

 THIS SATURDAY! Set out unwanted, gently used items at the end of their driveway, with a "FREE" sign, and turn their "trash" into someone's "treasure".
 Choose a handcrafted pottery planter or vase with a floral arrangement or potted plant to take home, then stay for afternoon tea and treats! Sunday May 3

 Each attendee chooses a handmade clay planter or vase with a flower arrangement 100% handmade by one of our studio members. Be sure to arrive early to get first dibs!
Entry includes a high-tea spread, with an assortment of homemade baked goods, tea, and coffee to enjoy on site.
