Monday! What a glorious day! I heard the sap flowed so fast and furious that it broke the record for some local Maple Syrup producers. It's a wonderful time of year to be in the forest and for the sweetest of reasons! (Pss - we have the rest of the 2025 syrup on sale.) These two tiny bunnies from Ridgway Confections are bringing the best of the season too! Milk Chocolate or Dark Chocolate, they're called Stick Bunnies. I think it's because they want to stick with you when you leave Tipped.  This trio is also creamy Belgian Milk Chocolate from Ridgway. The Working Bunny with the basket and Theo, are both solid chocolate. The third, I call the babysitter bunny, a hollow bunny minding the colourful solid chocolate eggs.  Ears looking at you! Ha ha, I couldn't help myself. This big milk chocolate bunny taunts me. Those ears are ever so tasty, right along with the rest! All to say, we've got Easter chocolate here for you. Easter is early this year, barely three weeks away. Better hop on it!  The boutique is blooming with fresh spring fashions - the racks are packed. Stop by while your first choice is in stock. This sheer, flowy, and fun overblouse from Montreal-based Alison Sheri is a perfectly cheery example! Ron just broke the news that he's heading into the studio to record a new album! That means he's bringing lots of new songs for us to hear.  From Newboro-based Fiona Stevenson - "Spring is in the…oh who am I kidding, it’s still flippin’ winter out! But I’m offering a little bit of spring joy with learn-to-crochet classes in Westport (above Rosie Yumski’s). There are two classes: Learn to Crochet - Basics and Learn to Crochet - Granny Squares on March 29th.
The Basics class is for absolute beginners or those who have put down the crochet hook for way too long! You will learn chaining and the basic crochet stitches.
The Granny Square class builds on basic crochet skills. If you know how to chain, single crochet, and double crochet, you are ready to dive into the world of granny squares. Who knew this fashion would become so hot again?!?
For those who want to dive in and really challenge themselves, you can book both classes in a one-day 5-hour workshop. This is particularly good for someone who’s concerned their crochet skills aren’t quite up to granny square level. You’ll get the basic class in the morning, so you can dive in with confidence into granny squares.
All classes include a $10 gift certificate to Lower Mountain Mercantile, so you can shop in the yarn department with help from me, if you need it."
