That early false spring we enjoyed so much has gone, leaving us with a string of cloudy, rainy days, and perhaps a bit of that short-lived (fingers-crossed) wet spring snow. I needed to lift my spirits so I was admiring the beautiful handmade floral pendants from Westport's Garcia Gardens. Hand-plucked from her gardens, carefully dried and set in resin, the petals in these pendants are the beauty of summer preserved. Gazing at them takes me right there!  Easter heralds the coming of spring and, thankfully, it's early this year - the weekend of April 5th. You can bring that little rabbit joy with these cuties. There are locally-made Easter cards and even St. Patrick's Day cards tucked in there, too. March 17th, April 5th. Fear not, spring is on the way!  A visitor who stopped into Tipped today was talking about how much they enjoyed the Beer Bread. It's the perfect weather to mix up a batch and pop it into the oven. Ward off the chill!  I don't think I'd spread either of these delicious locally-made small-batch preserves on beer bread. Although…that Apricot & Chili Jam might prove interesting. I'm sure we can find many delicious ways to enjoy these! Just two of the many flavours in stock at Tipped.  Another new spring dress that we've just hung in the boutique. There are lots of midi-length dresses coming in, and lots of black-and-white. Two of the themes for the season. Bring on those easy breezy warm days!  Until then, curl up with a good book by a local author. The Cowkeeper's Wish and Finding the Good are very different books from each other but each is a rewarding read! Staying cozy,

 Ali McCormick and Ron Mills! Doing a song trade, in the best possible folk music way. Two gifted artists who we're lucky to have here together! She's been inspired lately and is writing away. She has a way of capturing moments in time that are personal and universal at the same time. She'll be bringing lots of new tunes to this show. I can't wait to hear what she has to share now! Ron just broke the news that he's heading into the studio to record a new album! That means he's bringing lots of new songs for us to hear. One of my favourite songwriters, Ron might just get you up and dancing in the aisles. I danced the last time I heard him playing live…  Summersets! If you know, you know. They're LOOKING FOR BOOKS for the upcoming Ginormous Used Book Sale that takes place during the Delta Maple Syrup Festival in mid-April. They are accepting donations of used books, both for adults and kids, as well as DVDs, CDs, and vinyl records in good condition, plus jigsaw puzzles. Please, no textbooks, encyclopedias, or magazines.
