Two cardinals embroidered on a pillow

This morning on our walk, Charlie (my poodle) and I were greeted by a bright red Cardinal singing his little heart out through the trees. I've noticed more bird song lately, aside from the crow that has been greeting us each morning for weeks. Small signs that spring will come, not quite yet, but nice reminders that it is on the way.

You can add a bit of brightness to your home with this cardinal pillow. There's another cardinal pillow here too, one that's much different. Only one of each…

We were so fortunate to have candles from Willow Bay Naturals here but she's taken a break from candle-making. That sent me on a journey to find another candle maker worthy of your trust. I've found them in the clean-burning and delicately scented soy coconut candles from London-based Wick of Hope

Each purchase does good work in the global community by helping a woman or child escape crisis and rebuild their future. "This is more than a candle — it’s your way of giving back and sparking lasting change through i=Change." They go beyond that to a full circle of sustainability. So Tipped now has a wonderful selection, including an unscented candle, that matches our values and yours. Bring your sniffer in and check them out!

Sheila Dean of New Leaf Farm was in last weekend to restock her beautiful wools. There are new colours for new inspirations!

Spelt flour you say? What the heck does one do with Spelt Flour? Well, let's consult the flour experts at ARVA Mills.

"The Ancient Grains of Spelt Flour yield a lower gluten index, allowing you to bake high protein Biscuits, Bread, Cake, Cookies, Crepes, Cupcakes, Donuts, Muffins, & Scones.

Arva Spelt Flour is the Mill’s specialty and given our quality inputs and unique mills, we think this may be the finest flour produced anywhere in Canada!"

Need a few recipes to get you started? Check the ARVA website then stop by Tipped and pick up a bag of Whole or White Spelt flour. Let me know what you bake. Better yet, bring me a sample! (can't blame me for trying…)

Another nod to the warmer weather. This found fender was custom-painted by Delta artist Sean. There's one and none other quite like it!

Before we get ahead of the seasons, a gentle reminder that the BIG WINTER SALE continues. New clothing. Vintage clothing. It is a BIG SALE! Unique finds at the best Tipped prices ever!

Cawing to the crow each morning,

CA & Sonny in Concert
Saturday, February 28th, 7 pm at Elgin United

Witty and entertaining stage banter, fiddle and banjo and more - great stringed instrument playing and harmonies. Don’t miss this toe-tapping evening of old-time music played live by Ottawa's CA & Sonny.

"These talented musicians are true performers. Their performance style includes witty banter peppered with tales of yesteryear and good old folk music. One song might be “My Grandfather’s Clock,” dating back to 1876, and the next one might be “My Sweetie Turned Me Down,” from 1925.

They also perform their own original tunes. See if you can tell which ones are theirs! In an exclusive interview with The Review-Mirror, C.A. and Sonny shared their thoughts about their musical roots and love of folk music, along with some of their trademark humour." per Colette Kenny, Review-Mirror

This is the second of four concerts in the 2026 Tipped Tunes Winter Concert Series. The first one was a full house. Don't miss getting your tickets - at Tipped or online! They're selling like hotcakes!

Here they are telling you about the show!
